The University of Saint Francis offers a variety of different insurance plans for benefit-eligible employees. Employees who work 20 hours or more per week are considered benefit-eligible.
Group Health Insurance Plans
We offer medical, dental, and vision group insurance plans for employees and eligible dependents on the first day of employment. We also offer HSA’s and FSA’s for appropriate health care and dependent care expenses.
Life Insurance – AD&D
USF provides basic life insurance for full-time and part-time benefit-eligible employees.
We offer a 403(b) retirement account to all benefit-eligible employees. Employees can open account upon hire and make pretax contributions. After one year of employment, the university will match contributions up to 8% and give a 2% gift.
Paid Time Off
Paid time off is accrued based on years of service and position and is available to use after 90 days of employment. It also accumulates from year to year with a maximum accrual of 1 ½ times the benefit.
In keeping with our values, the university is closed on the following holidays: Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and day after, and seven days at Christmas including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The USF Mission Leave Policy encourages and supports employees to more fully embrace and embody the University of Saint Francis mission and values through engagement and service to the university, society and the Church. This policy allows employees to voluntarily participate, with pay, in university events and community service activities that occur during regularly scheduled work hours.
